Frequently Asked Questions
When’s the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by July 15. We recommend scheduling travel and accommodations as soon as possible.
Is there a wedding registry?
Your presence in Steamboat is the greatest gift to us. If you’d still like to celebrate with a gift, please consider contributing to our Camper fund through Venmo or our Honeymoon fund here.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding celebration will include both indoor and outdoor spaces. The ceremony at the gardens will be outdoors, and the reception will flow between the patio and indoor areas. Late September in Steamboat can bring warm afternoons and chilly evenings, so we recommend bringing layers.
What’s the wedding dress code?
We’d love for guests to dress in mountain cocktail attire, polished but comfortable enough for a garden ceremony and a lively patio party. Think suits without ties, midi/maxi dresses, boots, textures, and fall colors welcome. Hats, bolo ties, and western wear will fit right in!
Because portions of the evening will take place outdoors, we recommend comfortable shoes and a jacket for later in the night.
Is the wedding kid friendly?
Yes! We’re excited to celebrate with guests of all ages. We’ll have a few kid-friendly touches throughout the evening to help little ones enjoy the festivities too.
Are plus-ones allowed?
If a plus-one has been reserved for you, it will be listed on your invitation. Due to venue capacity, we’re unfortunately unable to accommodate additional guests beyond those included on the invitation.
Where’s the wedding ceremony and reception?
Ceremony: Yampa River Botanic Park, 1000 Pamela Ln, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487
Parking is available in designated spaces at Emerald Park. Additionally, the Botanic Park is accessible from the Yampa River Core Trail by bike or foot. The free Steamboat Springs Transit system and the Yampa River Core Trail provide alternative access to the Park.
Reception: Steamboat Social Club, 1103 Lincoln Ave, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487
Street parking is available, though limited. We recommend taking advantage of the free bus or rideshare services to travel to the Social Club after the ceremony and to your accommodations after the party ends.
View the Schedule page for more details.
Are there accommodations near the venue or hotel room blocks?
Yes — there are many hotels, condos, and vacation rentals throughout Steamboat Springs. We recommend booking accommodations early, as fall is a beautiful and busy season in Steamboat.
You can find lodging recommendations and more on the Travel page.
Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the hotel(s) and venues?
We will not be providing shuttle transportation, but Steamboat has a free bus system, easy rideshare access and many accommodations are a short drive from the venues. We encourage guests to plan transportation in advance if they intend to enjoy the open bar.
What’s the wedding itinerary?
A full weekend schedule can be found on the Schedule page of the website. We can’t wait to spend the weekend with everyone in the mountains.
A quick note for guests traveling from lower elevations: Steamboat sits at over 6,000 feet above sea level. We recommend drinking plenty of water and easing into your weekend.
Are pictures allowed during the wedding ceremony and/or reception?
We’d love for you to be fully present with us during the ceremony, so we kindly ask that phones and cameras stay tucked away until after we say “I do.” Once cocktail hour and the reception begin, please take all the photos you’d like — and share them with us!
What menu options are there for people with dietary restrictions?
We’re excited to have the Skull Creek Greek team serving lamb, chicken, and falafel gyros plus delicious sides from their food truck (wagon). Please include any dietary needs when you RSVP so we can do our best to accommodate you comfortably.
