How We Met
January 2022
We met in Cabo San Lucas while attending our friends Charlie and Grace’s wedding. We were both there solo and ended up crossing paths through the wedding party. Heather got Justin’s number and invited him to hang out while everyone else was at the rehearsal dinner.
We grabbed dinner, went dancing, and spent the rest of the weekend getting to know each other while celebrating our friends.
The Proposal
July 2025
On a Friday working from home, Justin suggested a picnic at Cheesman Park, one of our favorite spots in Denver. It felt like a normal afternoon until Justin mentioned he had a small gift and got down on one knee. Heather was completely caught off guard and didn’t give him much time to speak before hugging him, crying, and saying yes.
The ring is a topographic map of Telluride, Colorado, where we fell in love during a bluegrass festival and a place that has been meaningful to us ever since.
